I had wrote an article about how to play Divx videos on symbian phones. You can run Divx files without converting the files. But that are huge files, you can convert them to small files which fit to your mobile screen, for example Nokia 5800, 5230, 5233 models having display with screen size of 640×360 . Here I am using converting software called SUPER © which is provided by www.erightsoft.com as a freeware. You can download it from http://www.erightsoft.com/SUPER.html#Dnload Current version ( SUPER©.v2010.build.38 ) . Install the application. Its not only converting form divx but its support following formats also
MPEG, MPG, VOB, PS, M2P, MOD, VRO, DAT, DCM, VDR, PVR, TS, M2T, MTS, MMV, REC, VID, AUD, AVR, TP, TP0, TRP, TOD, M2V, M1V, MPV, AIFF, AIF, M1A, MP2, MPA, AC3; MOV, DV, AVI, MP4, and DIVX.
Drag and drop the file which you want to convert. And select following settings. Then you select “Encode ( Active files )” It will start converting. And it take some time to convert it. you can see the progress bar and output file size there. Here is the settings for the mobiles with screen size 640×360 with aspect ratio 16:9 . ( Nokia 5800, 5230 , 5233 ) You can change the settings according to your phone models.
